Last week we bottled our 2011 aromatic white varieties and rose. The riesling, pinot gris and rose all have our new style of labels and they will be the first wines to be released with them. The first previews of the new labels will be at our New Release Launch at the winery on 23/10 and at Cutler & Co on 24/10.

Touring the Tonnellerie Bossuet
Ray and Maree have gone to France for a whirlwind tour of Bordeaux with Jean-Luis Bossuet. The morning after the succcessful, but late, pinot benchmark tasting and dinner at the Carlton Wine Room they flew to France to visit the cooperage. They will be following the progress of the barrels from the forest all the way to the bottle with many tastings in between so we are sure they will have a lot of interesting tales on their return - next week.

Pinot Noir Tasting at the new Carlton Wine Room
We are always on the lookout for new wine experiences so we are very pleased to be preparing our annual Pinot Noir Benchmark Tasting to be held at the new Carlton Wine Room. A beautiful venue with great food and a thoughtful and concise wine list, currently including the Lethbridge 2008 Shiraz. Return of the Snowman
Ray has returned from mountaineering in Pakistan after conquering the glaciers and enduring the altitude - nearly 7000m! He is fit and well and straight back into blending for our aromatic white wine bottling in September and making plans for a huge new release launch in October.
